* The Nevada State Education Association will begin gathering signatures to raise the room tax.
* The Oklahoma Education Association will begin gathering signatures to raise per-pupil spending to the regional average.
* The Los Angeles Unified School District board unanimously decided to put a $7 billion bond measure on the November ballot.

I guess that, knowing teachers and administrators, I am surprised that the list of funding increase proposals isn’t miles long. But seriously, $7 billion for LA Unified? By my simply division that is over $2,000 per PERSON living in the district.
