John Edwards and the “Hot Sheets”
No, that’s not an innuendo. It’s from the 1997 movie Men in Black, in which Tommy Lee Jones is seeking some information about an alien menace threatening the planet. He tells Will Smith he needs to check the “hot sheets.” They stop at a newstand and pick up a stack of supermarket tabloids, then have this exchange:
Smith: “These are the hot sheets?”
Jones: “Best investigative reporting on the planet. But go ahead, read the New York Times if you want. They get lucky sometimes.”
Maybe Elvis is alive.
