Members of NEA and other unions will be on and around their very own float during Tuesday’s inauguration parade.
I had about a dozen one-liners prepared for this news, but it’s Friday so I thought I’d open it up to the hoi polloi. Have a great weekend!

So…who’s paying for this float? My caption would be, “Hope floats…so does something else.”

Seems you have really captured the spirit of the new administration and embraced a mature approach to solving problems and working together. Nice work.

Puh-lease. The float is a rolling political ad:
“A large wooden panel would be erected in the bed, perforated by five rotating stars each preaching part of labor’s legislative agenda, including ‘Health Care For All,’ ‘Good Jobs Green Jobs’ and an explicit ‘Free Choice Act.’”

And running a caption contest making fun of political positions supporting ‘Health Care For All,’ ‘Good Jobs Green Jobs’ and the ‘Free Choice Act’ is your effort to elevate the level of political discourse in this country?
Puh-lease indeed.

“…elevate the level of political discourse”?
It’s a parade float. With political slogans on it. If it were the NRA with a bunch of duck hunters you’d be yukking it up over at Kos or Huffington Post about it. Give me a break.

Very interesting that you know what I would do about an NRA float. I’m a member.
How about ratcheting it up a notch, eh? You seem like a bright guy.
