CTA Issues Non-Apology to Black Voice News
Check here for the backstory. California Teachers Association President David Sanchez doesn’t use the space in Black Voice News to apologize for threats. In fact, he barely acknowledges the incident at all. A single sentence reads:
“It’s unfortunate that miscommunication and misunderstanding would turn into the article that ran last week in the Black Voice News.”
Otherwise, it’s a list of CTA talking points and self-congratulation, my favorite of which is his touting of the success of the CTA-sponsored Quality Education Investment Act by citing the targeted schools’ test scores!
Evidently we’re only allowed to draw conclusions from student test scores when they go up.

You sound surprised, but I know you’re not!
Have a great weekend.
