The National Staff Organization, the umbrella group of staff unions that represent the employees of National Education Association state affiliates, held its convention last weekend and voted unanimously to sanction the Tennessee Education Association and the Oregon Education Association for anti-union behavior.

According to one report, the behavior includes targeting union leaders for layoff and office closure, ignoring seniority, failing to adhere to contracts, and imposing terms while bargaining.
