Wisconsin News Apparently Never Made It to Louisiana

Written By: Mike Antonucci - Jun• 26•12

Some teachers in Louisiana have come up with an innovative way to reverse legislation they don’t like – recall the governor and four Republican legislators!

They begin with none of the advantages of the Wisconsin recall and claim to have received no money from unions. It isn’t clear who is putting up the cash for the web site, telephone hotline, signature drives, petition printing, bumper stickers and t-shirts.

The Louisiana political blog The Hayride also points out that in the unlikely event the recalls qualify, someone is going to have to run against the incumbents – and the track record of the state Democrats is not encouraging.

Maybe the organizers are telling the truth. I find it hard to believe that NEA and AFT have that much money to waste these days.
