Iowa State Education Association’s Finances

Add the Iowa State Education Association to the list of NEA state affiliates with a membership level lower than it was 20 years ago. The surplus it collected in 2013-14 was significantly aided by the doubling in NEA grant money it received – probably because of Iowa having a crucial U.S. Senate race. ISEA carried $17.5 million in staff pension and post-retirement health care liabilities.
